The animals down in the deep use detritis from other animals above as food, the animals come up to eat plankton but only at night, and the saw-toothed eel floats straight up and doesn't move it just waits for food.

The manta ray weighs 2 tons which would equal 4000 pounds. There is Marine snow in the deep ocean that is food for deep sea animals. There are fish that adapt to the darkness in the deep ocean.

Marine Snow is food for lots of animals in the Deep Ocean. The deepest part of the Ocean is almost 7 miles down into the sea. The saw- toothed eel floats up closer to the surface of the Ocean and just waits for food to eat.

I learned that Marine Snow is really tiny little organic particles. They also serve as food for many animals. Some of the animals are, the frilled shark, manta ray, and saw tooth eel. The eel, like mitchel said, waits for its food and it can take up to TWO days for it to get food.

i learned that particles from dead animals are called marine snow and parts of the deep sea are 400 degrees and the water pressure is 300 times more weight in the deep sea.

Animals in the deep sea adapted to the pressure in the deep sea. Shrimp is the only thing that lives in the hot temperature water.
